OneClick-Med App

Implementation vs Design:

Overview

OneClick Med is a super product in the Healthcare industry. As the only UI/UX Designer, I worked with the product owners and product managers to create the product from the ideas they had and the research outcome. In the initial stages, the direction of the product was to create a product with so many features to attend to almost all the Healthcare needs of individuals.

It was also to help hospitals, pharmacies and laboratories to render Healthcare services better to their customers. While starting, the product owner insisted we start with the webapp against my professional recommendations that the product should start with a mobile app. I eventually gave in after several back and forths and designed it that way. Eventually, we pivoted to a new direction, focusing on providing unified medical records for patients through a mobile app.

So, there are a lot of former iterations but the current thing is the mobile app which is already being implemented and almost done. The mobile app has a number of features implemented already while others are being worked on. Here are some screens below. Kindly watch the prototype video to see most of the screens and flows.

Focusing on iterating fast, the project development was agile. After researching some competing products and getting insights from the responses of potential users to a survey form, the initial direction of the product was substantial to start with. The UX flow, style guide and other foundational design elements were then created.

By keeping the target users in mind, I ensured the design was tailored to the culture of the target users in order to give an excellent user experience. I didn't create wireframes for the product because we iterated fast and needed to be able to visualize the high fidelity screens and prototype fast enough. A lot of iterations went into the process until conclusions were made on the directions that work best.

Also, I ensured to simplify a lot of complex flows so users can easily understand and interact with the app.
